Field Judging At the recent WCCO, Kent Mayberry and Roger B were the field judges at the Thursday semi-finals. Kent took a few minutes to give us some idea of what a field judge looks for during the competition. He also shows us how to recognize a rancid dutch oven. Finally, he and Roger show us how temperature of meats are measured.
A Conversation With Colleen Sloan At the 2010 WCCO I was able to videotape a conversation with Colleen Sloan. Colleen is the author of the popular Log Cabin series of Dutch Oven Cook Books and has a lot of experience with Dutch Oven Cooking. I have heard it said that Colleen has forgotten more about Dutch Oven Cooking than most of us have learned. In addition to all of this she is the new Secretary for the IDOS Society Board.
